My journey in the mental health profession began in the post-secondary school student services realm where I assisted students with goal planning, time management, motivation, and academic remediation. During my time in this capacity, I noticed that many students I referred to psychotherapy experienced positive changes in their mood, functioning, and overall academic performance. I made the decision to pivot towards psychotherapy and have been seeing clients as a psychotherapist since 2021.
I believe that psychotherapy centres on an intentional and profoundly transformative relationship. It can be a wellspring of collective and individual positive change when offered from an anti-oppressive, non-pathologizing, compassionate approach. I draw from narrative, relational, positive psychology, and trauma informed approaches.
I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and am a member in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
I am proudly queer and offer my services and approaches to anyone who is looking for a space to be vulnerable and open to change. If this sounds like you, I invite you to contact me – even if you’re just curious!
